Livia De Picker Wins POWER Prize for Groundbreaking Research on Immunity and Mental Health

Our colleague Livia De Picker (University of Antwerp) has been awarded the POWER Award by Eos Psyche&Brein, a leading Belgian science magazine, for her groundbreaking research on the link between the immune system and mental health.

Her work shows that a disrupted immune system can contribute to mental disorders. Conversely, people with mental health conditions often become more severely ill and respond less effectively to vaccines.
